Football on TV this week: Matches to watch & live stream in UK today, tomorrow & this weekend

Football never stops – pandemics aside – whether it is the Premier League, Champions League or the international games such as the European Championship, there is almost always some action to watch on television.

Thursday April 1

The international break concludes on Wednesday and the only live televised football on Thursday comes from Australia as some of the biggest A-League sides collide.

Friday April 2

Sky Sports is broadcasting a number of English Football League games on Friday, with games involving the likes of Charlton Athletic and Birmingham City to look forward to.

Saturday April 3

Some of Europe’s biggest clubs are back in action on Saturday, including AC Milan as they take on Sampdoria in one of the day’s early kick-offs (live on Premier Sports).

Chelsea play West Brom live on BT Sport in the early Premier League kick-off, with Manchester City facing Leicester City later in the day on Sky Sports, while Liverpool and Arsenal lock horns in the evening.

Real Madrid are in action against Eibar live on La Liga TV, while Celtic take on Falkirk on Premier Sports.

Wednesday April 7

The second set of Champions League quarter-final games takes place live on BT Sport on Wednesday evening.

We can look forward to a re-run of last season’s final when Bayern Munich take on Paris Saint Germain and in the other game, Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea face Portuguese side Porto.

In Serie A, Juventus lock horns with Napoli live on Premier Sports – also live on LiveScore – while Inter play Sassuolo. La Liga TV, meanwhile, is showing a Basque derby between Real Sociedad and Athletic Club.
